India’s All-Party Delegation in Paris Reinforces Anti-Terror Unity Amid Deepening Strategic Ties with France
As global attention sharpens on counterterrorism cooperation, an Indian all-party parliamentary delegation led by senior leaders arrived in Paris as part of India’s expansive diplomatic campaign under Operation Sindoor.
Ambassador Sanjeev Singla formally received the delegation at the Indian Embassy in Paris and delivered a detailed briefing on India–France bilateral relations and the significance of unified messaging against terrorism.

The visit comes at a crucial juncture, with India pressing its global anti-terror narrative post the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. France—long a proponent of counter-extremism—remains one of India’s closest strategic allies, both bilaterally and in multilateral fora such as the UN, FATF, and the Indo-Pacific coalition.
The meeting, officials said, shared values, mutual trust, and commitment to democratic international order.
The Indian delegation, comprising leaders such as Ravi Shankar Prasad, Priyanka Chaturvedi, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran, stated India's zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism. Their visit is aligned with India’s broader push across capitals including Slovenia, Panama, Kuwait, and South Korea, where India has been building momentum for international cooperation against cross-border terrorism.
France, which has experienced devastating terrorist attacks including the 2015 Paris bombings, has often voiced support for India's security concerns, particularly those involving Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. India hopes to translate this alignment into collaborative frameworks on intelligence sharing, technology transfer, and joint operations in the Indo-Pacific.
The French National Assembly’s foreign affairs committee and major think tanks are also expected to engage with the Indian team to discuss convergence on strategic matters including cyber threats, maritime security, and economic cooperation.
The Indian embassy noted, “India’s message of unity and solidarity in the fight against terrorism will further strengthen bilateral cooperation on the shared global challenge.”
The Paris leg of the diplomatic outreach follows the recent visit to the 9/11 Memorial in New York by another Indian delegation led by Shashi Tharoor, where he drew parallels between India’s terror losses and global solidarity.
These coordinated diplomatic actions indicate India’s evolving strategy of parliamentary diplomacy coupled with strategic soft power in reinforcing its global counter-terror message.
