Kanimozhi-led Delegation Asserts India's Anti-Terror Resolve in Greece
As part of a sustained and strategic global outreach following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, a high-level multi-party Indian parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi arrived in Greece for a three-day visit to convey India’s unified message of zero tolerance toward terrorism.

The visit comes amid a whirlwind of Indian diplomacy that has seen parallel engagements across Latin America, Washington DC, and European capitals. Earlier this week, senior parliamentarian Dr. Shashi Tharoor visited Guyana and Panama, anchoring India’s post-Operation Sindoor narrative at the highest levels, including symbolic stops such as the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.
According to sources in Athens, the Indian delegation is scheduled to meet Members of the Greek Parliament, senior Foreign Ministry officials, and leading media and think-tank representatives. The focus is on counterterrorism cooperation, democratic resilience, and India’s evolving doctrine of measured deterrence post-Pahalgam, encapsulated by Operation Sindoor.
The delegation includes MPs Rajeev Kumar Rai, Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Prem Chand Gupta, and Dr. Ashok Mittal, representing a wide political spectrum. They are also expected to engage with the Indian diaspora in Greece and host a reception celebrating India-Greece cooperation.
The visit underscores India’s ongoing diplomatic campaign to build multilateral consensus around terrorism as a global crime requiring a unified response. India has been actively seeking support in multilateral forums such as the UNSC and international financial bodies.
From Latin America to the Mediterranean, India’s message is loud and clear: “The era of passivity is over. The world must now close ranks against the infrastructure of terrorism,” said a senior diplomat familiar with the delegation's itinerary.
