India Outlines ‘New Normal’ in Counterterror Policy at Tokyo Press Briefing
During a media briefing in Tokyo on 23 May 2025, Indian MPs described a “new normal” in India's approach to terrorism. As per the Embassy of India in Tokyo’s official release, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha and his colleagues highlighted India’s shift toward rapid, calibrated action like Operation Sindoor.

“India will not tolerate any form of cross-border terrorism,” Jha said, calling for consistent global pressure on states that enable or shield terrorists. The press engagement underscored a united national message and diplomatic outreach to mobilize support in East Asia.
