India Launches Joint Terror Research Initiatives with Russia, Japan
India has partnered with think tanks in Moscow and Tokyo to jointly research transnational terrorism and disinformation threats. The initiative was confirmed in official statements by the Indian Embassies in Moscow and Tokyo on 23 May 2025.

In Russia, MPs met with Mikhail Fradkov, head of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, to discuss online radicalization and hybrid threats. In Tokyo, Indian MPs held closed-door briefings with security experts focused on cyber-propaganda, regional stability, and the threat of state-sponsored extremism.
