Shashi Tharoor Leads All-Party Delegation to Five Nations with Anti-Terror Message

In a video message, Tharoor said the visit is a “mission of peace and hope” to assert that India “will not be silenced by terrorism.” The delegation plans to engage with government officials, legislators, think tanks, and media to reinforce global awareness of India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.

Briefed earlier by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, the delegation includes MPs from across party lines—BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi, Tejasvi Surya, Bhubaneswar Kalita; LJP’s Shambhavi Choudhary; TDP’s GM Harish Balayogi; Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora; JMM’s Sarfaraz Ahmad; and former Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu.

Tharoor emphasised the goal is to “sensitise public and legislative opinion” abroad and highlight India's values of democracy, freedom, and peace.
