India Seeks Japan’s Backing to Isolate Terror Sponsors
In a strong diplomatic message during its Tokyo visit, an All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha urged Japan to support international efforts to hold perpetrators of cross-border terrorism accountable.
As per the Embassy of India in Tokyo’s press release dated 23 May 2025, the Indian delegation met Japanese leaders including Speaker Fukushiro Nukaga and former Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.

Speaker Nukaga extended condolences for the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam attack and said terrorism “cannot be justified under any circumstances.”
MP Jha reaffirmed India’s stance: “We make no distinction between terrorists and those who harbor or support them.” He described Operation Sindoor as “precise, proportionate and non-escalatory.”
