Indian MPs in South Korea Call Out Pakistan’s Role in Pahalgam Attack

Continuing India’s coordinated diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor, members of India’s all-party parliamentary delegation in the Republic of Korea (ROK) met with the Indian diaspora in Seoul, reaffirming the nation's firm and united stand against cross-border terrorism.

The delegation, led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, outlined the events surrounding the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and provided a detailed briefing on India’s targeted response. Members explained how Operation Sindoor involved calibrated strikes on terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, carried out with “measured, non-escalatory, and responsible precision.”

The delegation emphasized that while India remains committed to peace, “dialogue cannot co-exist with terror.” They commended the Indian diaspora for its role in promoting India’s core values of pluralism, tolerance, and unity, particularly in times of global instability. “Your voice strengthens ours,” one member stated, encouraging diaspora leaders to continue amplifying India’s principled anti-terror message on global platforms.

Meanwhile, in New York City, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor delivered a pointed message at multiple engagements with strategic communities and think tanks. He declared that India’s approach to terrorism had fundamentally shifted. “There has now got to be a new normal,” he said, referencing India’s calibrated response to the Pahalgam attack. “We will not be blackmailed, and we will not allow impunity.”

Tharoor, who also led a delegation to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in Manhattan, underscored the symbolic and strategic alignment between India and the United States in the global fight against terrorism. His remarks echoed the delegation’s core messaging: India seeks peace, but reserves the right to defend itself when provoked.

The Seoul and New York stops are part of a broader 33-nation diplomatic campaign involving parallel missions in Germany, Bahrain, Kuwait, Africa, and Guyana, as India seeks to build international alignment against terror networks and their sponsors.
