The delegation included senior parliamentarians Baijayant Jay Panda, Rekha Sharma, Phangnon Konyak, Nishikant Dubey, Satnam Singh Sandhu, and Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who engaged with Bahraini officials and diaspora communities during their mission.

In a gesture rich with symbolism, the MPs visited the 200-year-old Shreenathji Temple and the Sikh shrine Shri Guru Singh Sabha. These visits sent a firm message against the misuse of religion by extremist groups and highlighted India’s pluralistic identity as a strategic counterpoint to radical ideologies.

The Bahrain leg complements India's ongoing diplomatic engagements in Seoul—where MPs met counter-terror officials and reaffirmed the “New Normal” doctrine—and in New York, where MP Shashi Tharoor drew global parallels at the 9/11 Memorial. In Qatar, MP Supriya Sule spearheaded India’s dialogue with West Asian and African counterparts on cross-border terrorism.

Bahrain, home to vibrant Hindu and Sikh communities, served as an ideal platform to demonstrate that India’s counterterror campaign is not just military or diplomatic—it’s cultural and ideological. The delegation’s visit conveyed a clear message: terrorism cannot be justified in the name of faith, and India will not let pluralism be its weakness—it will be its strength.
