According to an official statement, the meeting was "fruitful" and saw both sides reaffirm their commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The delegation includes BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, IUML MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, BJP leader and former Union minister S.S. Ahluwalia, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy, who have been instrumental in building cross-party support for India’s international messaging on counterterrorism policy.
The visit forms part of a wider campaign involving seven multi-party delegations travelling to 33 countries to convey India’s position on terrorism and to brief global partners on the rationale behind its recent counterterrorism actions under Operation Sindoor.
This initiative runs parallel to other high-level interactions, including Dr. S. Jaishankar’s Berlin conference and Raisina Tokyo 2025, and forms part of India’s larger effort to build consensus on proactive deterrence and national self-defence.
