Russia Shows Strategic Support for India’s Anti-Terror Operation
India’s counter-terrorism campaign received strong diplomatic backing from Russia during a visit by an Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. As per the Embassy of India in Moscow’s press release dated 23 May 2025, Russian officials unequivocally condemned the April 22 Pahalgam attack and expressed support for India’s Operation Sindoor.

Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko affirmed a shared commitment to eliminating terrorism “in all its forms”. Both sides agreed to bolster multilateral efforts and intelligence cooperation. Discussions highlighted India’s principled stance against nuclear blackmail and terror sanctuaries.
