During the visit, the Indian team met with several senior Japanese leaders, including Japan’s Foreign Minister Mr. Takeshi Iwaya, former Prime Minister Mr. Yoshihide Suga, and Mr. Takashi Endo, Chairman of the National Security Committee. These meetings were focused on regional security cooperation and India’s stance against terrorism.
The delegation also engaged with researchers and experts from Tokyo-based think tanks. They explained India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, especially after Operation Sindoor. Discussions included the global response to state-supported terrorism and evolving security dynamics.
This visit is part of a wider diplomatic effort by India to boost cooperation with like-minded countries such as Japan, focusing on shared values of peace and democratic values, defense partnerships, and international law.
These strategic engagements are expected to deepen mutual trust and broaden the Indo-Pacific dialogue. The Indian delegation’s diplomatic tour in Japan will continue over the next few days.
