On May 28, the delegation met Dr. Mishaal Al-Sulami, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council. They extended India's deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, and reiterated that India remains united in its commitment to eradicate terrorism globally. The lunch hosted by Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Snitan A. Alharbi and the Saudi-India Parliamentary Friendship Committee enabled further dialogue on strengthening bilateral efforts.

A discussion was held with Adel Bin Ahmed al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Delegates conveyed India's expectations for coordinated global action to dismantle terror infrastructures, cut funding channels, and delegitimize ideological narratives. Emphasis was laid on India’s evolving “New Normal” doctrine, marked by proportionate, resolute, and non-escalatory responses to cross-border terrorism.

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement that “this is certainly not the era of war, but also not the era of terrorism,” the delegation reiterated India’s zero-tolerance stance against terrorism. The interaction also emphasized Saudi Arabia’s continued political and strategic support on counter-terrorism issues.

The delegation later visited the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, engaging in a substantive exchange with Mushabab bin Ayed Al-Qahtani. Discussions focused on India’s counter-terror diplomacy and collaborative pathways for de-radicalization and prevention of violent extremism.

In the evening, the Embassy hosted a reception that brought together thought leaders, civil society figures, and members of the Indian diaspora. The gathering served as a platform for reinforcing shared values between India and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed their strategic convergence on fighting terrorism and promoting global peace.
