Trump warns Israel: 'Do not drop bombs.' Ceasefire violations deepen crisis; regional tensions remain high

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a direct public warning to Israel, demanding that it halt any further strikes on Iran. In a statement posted Tuesday, Trump said: “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!”

The warning follows Trump’s earlier acknowledgment that both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire he brokered just hours before.

Speaking to reporters, Trump admitted being "really unhappy with Israel" for launching airstrikes immediately after agreeing to the truce, while also expressing dissatisfaction with Iran's actions.

The ceasefire was intended to halt 12 days of hostilities triggered by Israel’s June 13 strikes on Iranian sites, which led to multiple rounds of retaliatory missile exchanges between Iran, Israel, and the United States injecting itself by bombarding Iran's nuclear facilities.

Despite the ceasefire, both sides exchanged further attacks, with Israel accusing Iran of firing missiles hours after the ceasefire began, and Iran denying the claim.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have welcomed the ceasefire but urged both parties to fully adhere to the agreement. Meanwhile, India continues its evacuation of nationals from the region under Operation Sindhu, with over 2,500 citizens already repatriated from Iran and Israel.

The situation remains precarious as Washington’s unprecedented public rebuke of Israel underscores the fragile state of the ceasefire and the risk of renewed escalation.
