Trump: Israel Will Not Strike Iran, Planes Will Turn Back; Claims Ceasefire will Hold

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Tuesday that Israeli forces have stood down from launching fresh strikes on Iran. In a public message, Trump said: “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!”

The announcement comes hours after Trump acknowledged that both Israel and Iran had violated the ceasefire he brokered earlier.

Trump had earlier criticized Israel for launching strikes immediately after agreeing to the truce, while also expressing dissatisfaction with Iran’s retaliatory actions.

The fragile ceasefire follows 12 days of intense conflict that erupted after Israel's June 13 strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, triggering a chain of missile and drone exchanges involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Despite multiple violations reported by both sides, Trump continues to insist that the ceasefire remains operational.

Regional powers Egypt and Saudi Arabia have welcomed the ceasefire but have urged both parties to fully comply.

Meanwhile, India continues evacuations under Operation Sindhu, with over 2,500 nationals repatriated from Iran and Israel as the situation remains volatile.
