Total Obliteration: Trump Rejects Reports Questioning Iran Nuclear Strike Success

U.S. President Donald Trump strongly dismissed media reports suggesting that recent U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites failed to fully destroy Tehran’s capabilities. Posting on Truth Social, Trump labelled the reports as "FAKE NEWS" and insisted the nuclear facilities were "completely destroyed."

“Fake news CNN, together with the failing New York Times, have teamed up in an attempt to demean one of the most successful military strikes in history.

The nuclear sites in Iran are completely destroyed! Both The Times and CNN are getting slammed by the public!” Trump wrote.

The media reports cite a classified assessment from the Pentagon's Defense Intelligence Agency, claiming the strikes only temporarily disrupted Iran’s nuclear program.

According to the assessment, while some sites were sealed off, key centrifuges and enriched uranium stockpiles survived the strikes.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the intelligence report "flat-out wrong" and accused the media of attempting to undermine Trump’s leadership.

“Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on target: total obliteration,” she stated.

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff went further, calling the leak "treasonous" and demanded accountability for those responsible for releasing classified details.

“The site was obliterated,” he told Fox News.

The strikes, part of Operation Midnight Hammer, were launched on June 22 targeting Iran’s key nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The operation involved seven B-2 stealth bombers dropping 14 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs), also known as “bunker busters,” on Iran’s heavily fortified underground sites. It marked the first combat use of the 15-ton GBU-57 bomb.

Following the strike, Trump hailed the operation as a “bullseye” success, citing satellite imagery as evidence of the extensive underground destruction. “The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!” he wrote.

The strikes triggered a sharp escalation, leading to retaliatory Iranian missile attacks on U.S. bases and setting off 12 days of conflict between Iran, Israel, and the U.S., before a fragile ceasefire was brokered.
