Iran's Military Chief Warns U.S. and Israel Are Under Close Watch After Ceasefire
Iran’s top military official has claimed that Tehran has imposed its will on both the United States and Israel following the recent 12-day military escalation. He warns that both adversaries remain under close surveillance.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said in a statement on Thursday that the Israeli assault—backed by U.S. logistical and intelligence support—was met with a decisive and effective Iranian counterstrike.

“They attacked. We ended it,” he stated, before adding that Iran does not initiate wars but will finish them if provoked.
Mousavi claimed that strategic Israeli military and research installations were devastated in the Iranian retaliation, despite what Tehran claimed was media censorship attempts by Tel Aviv.
The general further asserted that Iran’s missile and drone attacks exposed vulnerabilities in Israel’s much-vaunted multilayered air defense systems.
He also confirmed that the U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear sites was a failed attempt to salvage Israeli positions.
The subsequent Iranian strike on the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a key American military hub in the region, served as a powerful deterrent.
According to Mousavi, that strike pushed the U.S. to quietly seek a ceasefire via intermediary states.
“The war machine they launched was stopped with Iranian-made capabilities. The enemy knows now: our eyes are watching, and if provoked again, they will vanish into history’s black holes,” Mousavi said.
On June 13, Israel launched an air campaign that targeted Iranian military and nuclear assets, triggering a sharp response from Tehran.
The conflict escalated when the U.S. joined with targeted strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, which Iran condemned as a violation of international law.
In retaliation, Iran bombed U.S. infrastructure in the Gulf before agreeing to a truce mediated indirectly by Washington.
