Iran, Russia Vow Cooperation Amid Regional Conflict
In a phone call on Monday evening, Iranian military chief General Nasirzadeh told Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu that Iran remains committed to punishing the aggressors behind recent attacks.
He expressed gratitude for Russia’s support, stating that Iran faces not only Israel but also the United States and its allies who back Israeli actions.

General Nasirzadeh accused the U.S. of being the primary source of instability in the region and emphasized that Iran and Russia can jointly work to promote peace and stability both regionally and globally.
Echoing this view, Shoigu stated that accusations against Iran concerning its nuclear program serve merely as a pretext to weaken the country and destabilize the region. He reaffirmed that Russia continues to closely monitor the situation and stands firmly in support of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The call comes amid ongoing military escalations following Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and subsequent retaliatory attacks by Iran.
