Iran Strikes U.S. Base in Qatar; Missiles Intercepted, No Casualties
Iran launched a missile attack Monday on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, retaliating for recent American strikes on its nuclear facilities.
The strike was announced on Iranian state television, which called it “a mighty and successful response to America’s aggression.”

Qatar closed its airspace before the attack and confirmed that its air defenses intercepted the incoming missiles, preventing any casualties.
“The threat was neutralized successfully,” said Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari.
Iran stated that it matched the number of missiles to the bombs dropped by the U.S. on Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend, suggesting a calibrated response.
It emphasized targeting a military site located away from civilian populations.
The attack follows weeks of escalating hostilities. On June 13, Israel struck Iranian targets, citing an imminent nuclear threat. Iran responded with missile and drone strikes on Israel, while Israeli strikes on Iran continued.
The U.S. entered the conflict with airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
