Iran Accuses Israel and U.S. of 'Criminal Aggression' Over Strikes on Nuclear Sites
Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned Israeli strikes on its territory as “criminal acts” and accused the United States of being complicit. Speaking to the BBC, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei stated that no international law allows a U.N. Security Council member to attack another U.N. member state’s peaceful nuclear facilities.

Baqaei asserted that Israel initiated war against Iran and that Washington, by joining the strikes, shares responsibility for the aggression.
He accused Israel of targeting hospitals and civilian areas in Tehran, leading to civilian deaths and injuries, and called on the international community to condemn the attacks.
In a separate CNN interview, Baqaei said foreign media teams would soon arrive in Iran to cover the aftermath of the strikes.
He defended Iran’s internet restrictions as necessary to counter ongoing cyberattacks.
Baqaei also pointed to the latest International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report, stating it contains no evidence of Iranian non-compliance with its nuclear obligations.
The current escalation began after Israeli strikes on June 13 targeted Iranian nuclear sites, killing several top Iranian military officials and civilians.
