Indian Nationals Advised to Stay Indoors as Strikes Disrupt Evacuations; Special Indian Flight Diverted

Indian diplomatic missions in the conflict-hit regions of the middle-east have issued fresh advisories urging citizens to exercise caution.

The Indian Embassy in Qatar advised its nationals on Monday to remain indoors following Iranian missile strikes on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base, according to Mehr News Agency.

The Embassy urged citizens to "remain calm" and follow instructions from local Qatari authorities, adding that updates would be provided through official channels.

In Bahrain, the Indian Embassy amplified similar advisories from Bahrain's Interior Ministry, recommending residents identify safe rooms in their homes and review safety guidelines in case of explosions or sirens.

The Iranian missile strikes came after U.S. forces bombed Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan—on June 22, deepening the ongoing conflict that has seen hundreds of missiles and drones exchanged between Israel and Iran over the past week.

The escalating conflict has also disrupted evacuation efforts. An Indian evacuation flight carrying 160 nationals from Jordan, who had earlier crossed from Israel, was forced to divert to Kuwait mid-route due to airspace closures following the Iranian strikes.

The flight, J91254, had departed Amman for Delhi via Kuwait but returned to Kuwait after the regional situation deteriorated.

India continues its Operation Sindhu evacuation mission while simultaneously issuing safety directives for its citizens across multiple conflict zones, as the security landscape in the region remains volatile.
