It reflects current efforts to modernize the military under a unified command structure, a goal that has been central to the role of the Chief of Defence Staff since the post was created in 2020.

Structured as a collection of analytical articles, the book provides a comprehensive view of the Indian Armed Forces’ transformation into a future-ready force, aligned with the national vision of building a secure, strong, and developed India by 2047, the centenary of independence.

Officials described the book as a significant contribution to strategic discourse, offering insights into reforms within India’s Higher Defence Organisation and the broader objective of aligning defence capability with national growth goals.
