Rajnath Singh Releases Book by CDS on Military Transformation
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday released a new book authored by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, titled “Ready, Relevant and Resurgent: A Blueprint for the Transformation of India’s Military”. The publication lays out a strategic roadmap for the ongoing overhaul of India’s armed forces to address the evolving challenges of 21st-century warfare.

The book highlights key themes central to India's defence reform, including jointness among services, organizational integration, and the pursuit of self-reliance in defence production. It reflects current efforts to modernize the military under a unified command structure, a goal that has been central to the role of the Chief of Defence Staff since the post was created in 2020.
Structured as a collection of analytical articles, the book provides a comprehensive view of the Indian Armed Forces’ transformation into a future-ready force, aligned with the national vision of building a secure, strong, and developed India by 2047, the centenary of independence.
Officials described the book as a significant contribution to strategic discourse, offering insights into reforms within India’s Higher Defence Organisation and the broader objective of aligning defence capability with national growth goals.
