It resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals identified as Tren de Aragua operatives, according to a statement released by the Trump administration. No U.S. personnel were harmed in the operation.

In a social media statement, President Trump framed the operation as a direct warning to transnational criminal networks and foreign regimes.

He alleged that the Tren de Aragua group, designated by the U.S. as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), operates with the backing of Venezuelan President NicolΓ‘s Maduro, and is responsible for violent activity across the Western Hemisphere.

“The United States will not tolerate narcoterrorism on our doorstep,” Trump said. “This strike was lawful, targeted, and successful -- and it sends a clear message: we will intercept and eliminate any threat before it reaches American shores.”
