At least three law enforcing officers have been killed and two severely injured this afternoon in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, during an attempted warrant service that turned deadly.

The incident unfolded around 2:10 p.m. at a home on Hanover Road, where members of the Northern York County Regional Police Department encountered armed resistance while executing the warrant.

At least two of the wounded were airlifted to WellSpan York Hospital, which confirmed it was treating two individuals in serious condition and has since initiated enhanced security protocols.

Law enforcement activity rapidly escalated in the area, with multiple fire and police units and helicopters responding to the 1800 block of Haar Road. Online dispatch logs and local media confirmed a lockdown was implemented at WellSpan Hospital as a precautionary measure.

The Spring Grove Area School District placed all K-12 schools under a temporary shelter-in-place order following law enforcement advice. The precaution was lifted by 4:10 p.m. School officials confirmed the incident was unrelated to any students or staff.
