Seven Temporary Flight Restriction Violations Near Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club Prompt NORAD Fighter Jet Response
Over the weekend, seven separate violations of Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) were recorded near Bedminster, New Jersey, during the time US President Donald Trump was reported to be staying at the Trump National Golf Club.
The First Air Force issued a warning to general aviation pilots via social media, reminding them to review all relevant FAA Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) before flying near restricted areas. A post on X specifically cited NOTAMs 9839 through 9842, urging pilots to “stay clear and compliant.”

NORAD confirmed that its aircraft safely escorted the unauthorized plane out of the zone, using signal flares as part of the interception protocol. According to NORAD, the flares were employed with high regard for the safety of both the intercepted aircraft and those on the ground. This incident marked the second TFR violation in the Bedminster area that day.
NORAD emphasized that the weekend’s airspace violations underscore the ongoing importance of pilot vigilance and airspace compliance, especially near sensitive areas hosting high-ranking officials.
Their multi-layered defense system includes radar, satellite surveillance, and fighter jets, ensuring real-time monitoring and quick response capabilities across the United States and Canada.
This is not the first such breach in the area. In July, a similar interception was carried out when a civilian aircraft entered the same restricted airspace as Trump was spending the Fourth of July weekend at the Bedminster property.
These recurring incidents have prompted renewed calls from aviation authorities for pilots to rigorously consult FAA notices before undertaking any flights in or around zones designated under TFR.
