According to officials, over 15,000 protestors assembled during the day. While most dispersed by evening, around 100 demonstrators reportedly refused to vacate the premises, leading to tensions.

Authorities stated that 44 individuals were detained after repeated requests to clear the area were ignored.

Videos from the protest site show aspirants arguing with police personnel, with some clips appearing to depict physical confrontations.

Protestors allege several issues with the SSC Computer-Based Test (CBT), held between July 24 and August 1, including administrative errors, poor exam centre conditions, and lack of clear communication from the authorities.

Protesting candidates claim that some aspirants were assigned centres as far as 400 to 500 kilometres away from their homes.

Despite the long travel and financial strain, several candidates were informed upon arrival that their exams had been cancelled without prior notice.

Teachers and coaching faculty who joined the protest backed these claims, demanding accountability and redressal from the Commission.

The Delhi Police said its actions were aimed at maintaining public order after the protest extended beyond the permitted time frame.

As of now, there has been no official statement from the SSC addressing the candidates’ grievances.

The situation remains fluid, with further responses from both the Commission and Delhi authorities expected in the coming days.
