Indian PM Modi Lands in London to Deepen India-UK Economic and Strategic Partnership
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London today, beginning a crucial two-nation visit focused on deepening economic and strategic cooperation. Calling the UK a key partner in global progress, the Prime Minister said the trip would strengthen bilateral prosperity, growth and job creation.
During his visit, Modi is scheduled to meet UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for high-level talks expected to advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that spans trade, innovation, defence, education, research and sustainability. He will also call on His Majesty King Charles III.

The visit comes at a time when India and the UK are looking to revitalise negotiations around a Free Trade Agreement and scale up collaboration in emerging technologies and green growth.
In a post before departure, the Prime Minister highlighted the momentum achieved in recent years and expressed optimism about new areas of cooperation.
Immediately following the UK leg, Modi will travel to the Maldives on July 25 at the invitation of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
He will participate in the Maldives' 60th Independence Day celebrations, which also mark six decades of India-Maldives diplomatic ties.
Talks in MalΓ© will aim to build a Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership and further India’s Neighbourhood First Policy, especially in the context of shared stability in the Indian Ocean Region.
Modi has expressed confidence that both visits will result in tangible outcomes for citizens and deepen India’s engagement with key global and regional partners.
