Indian Parliamentary Delegation Begins Official Visit to the UK to Strengthen Counter-Terrorism Cooperation
A high-level Indian parliamentary delegation led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, Member of Parliament and former Union Minister, arrived in London on 31 May 2025 for a four-day official visit aimed at advancing India’s global counter-terrorism engagement. The visit, part of Operation Sindoor, underscores India's firm and consistent stance against terrorism in all its forms.

The multi-party delegation includes current and former Members of Parliament and senior diplomats, reflecting India’s unified national resolve. Among the delegates are Daggubati Purandeswari, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, M. Thambidurai, M. J. Akbar, and Ambassador Pankaj Saran.
During the visit, the delegation is scheduled to meet the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Minister for the Indo-Pacific, Catherine West. The itinerary also includes engagements with members of both Houses of the UK Parliament, representatives from media and policy think tanks, and leaders from the Indian diaspora.
The delegation’s agenda centers on reinforcing India’s message of zero tolerance towards terrorism and promoting stronger India–UK cooperation in global security frameworks.
