Indian Parliamentary Delegation Visits Liberia to Advance Anti-Terrorism Cooperation

A high-level Indian parliamentary delegation arrived in Monrovia, Liberia, on 31 May 2025 for a three-day official visit aimed at reinforcing India’s international outreach under Operation Sindoor. The visit underscores India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and its commitment to global counter-terrorism cooperation.

The delegation, comprising members from various Indian political parties and a senior diplomat, is led by Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde, Member of Parliament. Upon arrival, the group was received by the Ambassador of India to Liberia, Mr. Manoj Bihari Verma, along with Hon. Sekou S. Kanneh and Hon. Prince A. Toles, representatives from the House of Representatives of Liberia.

During their stay in Monrovia, the Indian delegation is scheduled to meet the President of Liberia, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro-Tempore of the Senate, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The itinerary also includes interactions with leading think tanks and members of the media. These engagements will provide a platform to communicate India’s steadfast stance against terrorism in all its forms and reinforce bilateral cooperation in the security domain.
