India's National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on June 23, 2025, on the sidelines of the 20th SCO Security Council Secretaries’ Meeting.
The two officials reviewed the current state of India-China relations and emphasized the need to foster overall bilateral development, including enhanced people-to-people exchanges.

According to the official readout, Doval highlighted the importance of countering terrorism in all its forms to ensure regional peace and stability.
The discussion comes amid heightened global tensions, with the Middle East witnessing ongoing military escalation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, and growing international concerns over regional security disruptions.
Both sides also discussed other bilateral, regional, and global matters of mutual concern. Doval expressed his intention to host Wang Yi in India for the 24th round of Special Representative Talks at a mutually convenient date.
The meeting reflects continued high-level dialogue between India and China even as global security dynamics remain volatile.
