The fast-track acquisitions aim to rapidly bolster the Army’s situational awareness, mobility, protection, and firepower in counter-terror operations.
Equipment secured includes Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction Systems (IDDIS), Low Level Lightweight Radars (LLLR), VSHORADS launchers and missiles, drones, loitering munitions, VTOL systems, Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicles (QRFVs), bulletproof jackets, ballistic helmets, and night sights for rifles.
All procurements prioritize indigenous systems, reflecting India’s focus on self-reliance in defence.
The EP route remains central to addressing urgent capability gaps and equipping frontline troops with mission-critical technology on accelerated timelines.
