The WPFG, held biennially, is one of the world’s largest multisport competitions, welcoming over 10,000 athletes—all active or retired personnel from law enforcement and fire services.

It ranks just behind the Summer Olympics in participation and ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Established by the California Police Athletic Federation in 1983, the Games foster global camaraderie and excellence among first responders.

India’s hosting debut marks a major step forward for Gujarat’s global sporting ambitions.

The 2029 Games are expected to bring thousands of international visitors, boost regional infrastructure, and enhance India’s visibility on the world sports map.

State officials have promised state-of-the-art venues and world-class organization.

The last edition was held in Rotterdam in 2022, while the next is set for Birmingham, Alabama, USA in 2025.
