NASA Delays Axiom-4 Launch with Indian Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla

NASA has postponed Sunday’s planned launch of the Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station (ISS), which includes Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla among its crew.

The decision comes as the space agency seeks more time to assess ISS operations following recent repairs in the Russian segment’s Zvezda service module.

The mission, initially scheduled for June 22, has faced multiple delays due to issues ranging from booster leaks in SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket to unfavorable weather along the flight path.

NASA cited the need for further evaluation of the aft section of the Zvezda module, where recent maintenance was performed, as the reason for the latest hold.
