According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Taj Security) Syed Arib Ahmed, the system has been positioned within the monument's complex and is designed to detect and disable any drone entering the designated no-fly zone. The surveillance grid spans a 500-metre radius, ensuring any rogue drone is swiftly neutralized.

The move is part of a proactive security upgrade to safeguard one of India’s most visited landmarks, addressing modern threats while preserving public safety and the structural integrity of the 17th-century site.
