Tharoor to Lead Indian Parliamentary Delegation to Colombia

An all-party Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by MP Shashi Tharoor will visit the Republic of Colombia from May 29 to 31, 2025. The visit takes place in the context of India’s ongoing diplomatic engagement under Operation Sindoor and underscores the country’s consistent position of zero tolerance towards terrorism, Indian embassy officials noted here.

The delegation includes Members of Parliament from both houses and various political parties, along with a senior diplomat. 

During their stay in Bogotá, the members will engage with Colombian lawmakers, ministers, think tanks, and media representatives to convey India’s strong and principled stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The visit is part of India’s broader effort to strengthen international cooperation on counter-terrorism and reinforce its bilateral ties with Colombia through parliamentary and diplomatic dialogue.
